Sonoran Red Decomposed Granite is a 3/8-inch-minus landscape material featuring a rich blend of red, rust, burgundy, and earthy desert tones. Its bold natural color complements desert plants, stucco homes, concrete, flagstone, and other Southwestern landscape elements.

The mixture of small particles and fines allows Sonoran Red DG to be graded and compacted, making it a practical option for pathways, patios, seating areas, and low-maintenance ground cover.

Installation and Stabilizer Options

Sonoran Red DG can be installed as loose ground cover or compacted to create a more defined surface. For pathways, patios, and other areas receiving regular foot traffic, proper grading, moisture, and mechanical compaction will help produce a more durable finish.

A compatible decomposed granite stabilizer may also be added when a firmer surface with improved resistance to erosion and displacement is desired. Installation requirements vary, so consult your contractor or stabilizer manufacturer before beginning the project.

Because decomposed granite is a natural material, variations in color, texture, particle size, and fines may occur. We recommend viewing the material in person when matching an existing installation.
