About Us
Low Desert Rock Supply is a family-owned landscape supply yard in Desert Hot Springs, California, founded in 2003 by George and Jean Hathaway. They put everything they had into building the business, drawing on years of knowledge, hard work, and personal sacrifice. Although they have both passed away, Low Desert Rock Supply would not be here without the foundation they created, and we are proud to continue what they started.
We work with homeowners, landscape contractors, builders, designers, municipalities, and commercial customers. Some customers come in knowing exactly what they need. Others have measurements, a photograph, or an idea and need help choosing the right material. Either way, our goal is to make the process straightforward.
Local Knowledge and a Wide Selection
Our yard carries materials for residential landscaping, commercial construction, drainage, hardscape, and general property improvements.
Our selection includes:

We carry familiar local materials as well as specialty products that can be difficult to find at an ordinary landscape yard. When a particular color, size, or material is not in stock, we can often help source it.
Help Choosing the Right Material
Choosing landscape material is not always as simple as selecting a color. Size, coverage, drainage, compaction, access, and the intended use of the area can all affect which product will work best.
Tell us what you are building, where the material will be used, and the dimensions of the area. We can help you compare your options and estimate how much material the project may require.
Natural rock will always have some variation in color, size, texture, and fines. We encourage customers to visit the yard and see the current material in person when an exact appearance is important.
Pickup and Delivery
Customers can pick up material directly from our Desert Hot Springs yard, from small quantities to full truckloads.
We also provide delivery for homes, jobsites, commercial properties, and larger construction projects. Depending on the material, quantity, jobsite access, and delivery requirements, we can arrange service using several types of trucks and equipment.
Same-day delivery may be available when material is in stock and scheduling permits. For larger or more specialized orders, contact us in advance so we can coordinate the right equipment and delivery method.
Serving the Coachella Valley and High Desert
Our primary delivery area includes Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Thousand Palms, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, and surrounding communities.
